These are particularly intense days for Haas ahead of their home race in the United States Grand Prix at the 5.513-kilometre Circuit of The Americas in Austin on Sunday, October 20, the second of three scheduled events in the Circus in America this season. First, the announcement of a new technical partnership with Toyota sparked numerous speculations and discussions in the paddock. Today, however, it was time for a commercial agreement all in a ‘made in USA’ style. The team founded by Gene Haas has officially announced a sponsorship deal with the insurance group Orion180.
In the team’s statement, it was explained that the new partnership will be “multi-year” and will begin during the weekend of the Americas GP. “As part of the partnership,” the announcement stated, “the Orion180 logo will appear on the VF-24 and on the race suits, and starting in the 2025 season, also on the entire team’s ‘kit’.” This agreement confirms the expansion path that the Kannapolis team is trying to undertake, having had a surprisingly positive season so far with 31 points earned and currently sitting in seventh place in the 2024 Formula 1 Constructors’ standings.
