Godzilla x Haas: the collaboration no one dared to imagine

The TGR Haas F1 Team is breaking the mold by bringing a global pop culture icon to the track: Godzilla. This unprecedented collaboration with TOHO CO., LTD. merges cinema and motorsport in a global project set to make a lasting impact.

A partnership never seen before: the “King of the Monsters” makes its F1 debut

Haas has announced a groundbreaking partnership with TOHO, the historic Japanese studio and home of Godzilla. It marks the first time the American team has teamed up with an entertainment brand, paving the way for a crossover between two worlds that rarely intersect.

The partnership will officially debut at the Japanese Grand Prix (March 27–29), following the unveiling of a special livery on March 24 at Tokyo Midtown Hibiya. Throughout the 2026 season, the project will include integrated branding, digital content, limited-edition merchandise, and fan-focused initiatives.

After Tokyo, the “King of the Monsters” will also take center stage at the United States Grand Prix (October 23–25), coinciding with the American release of Godzilla Minus Zero, scheduled for November 6.

Ayao Komatsu, Team Principal of Haas, подчеркed the importance of the agreement:

“This is truly an extraordinary opportunity to introduce our brand to a new audience, and it represents a first for both the TGR Haas F1 Team and TOHO. It is an honor to bring a global icon like Godzilla into this sport and promote the initiative in an important year for the franchise.”

TOHO: “Godzilla and Haas share the same untamed strength”

For TOHO, this collaboration represents a new chapter in the history of the most famous monster in cinema. Keiji Ota, Senior Managing Executive Officer and Chief Godzilla Officer, highlighted the natural connection between the two brands:

Haas brings Godzilla to Formula 1 in groundbreaking partnership

“We are honored to announce this partnership between the TGR Haas F1 Team — a team that continues to push the limits of performance on the global Formula 1 stage — and Godzilla, a cultural icon that has continued to evolve for over 70 years since its first appearance in Japan.

Godzilla has become synonymous with untamed power and resilience, a spirit that deeply resonates with the determination of the TGR Haas F1 Team to constantly break barriers. Through this collaboration, get ready to see Godzilla unleashed on the fastest stage in the world!”

Further details regarding products, liveries, and activations will be revealed in the weeks leading up to the two key events of the season.

With this partnership, Haas is not simply introducing a special livery—it is building a bridge between Formula 1 and a global cultural phenomenon. Godzilla becomes a symbol of strength, identity, and renewal for a team aiming to return to the spotlight.

This unique collaboration between TGR Haas and TOHO illustrates the growing intersection of high-speed racing and global entertainment. This partnership captures the essence of modern Formula 1, blending technical precision with a powerful narrative that resonates with fans across different generations and cultures.
