The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) has confirmed that no mechanisms were found in Carlos Sainz’s Williams car capable of generating potentially asymmetric braking.

What the FIA delegates examined

As is customary, at the conclusion of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, the FIA not only performs its routine post-race inspections but also randomly selects one car for more in-depth examinations.

After the Azerbaijan GP, the car chosen was Carlos Sainz’s Williams, who finished third behind Max Verstappen and George Russell. The FIA delegates focused their attention primarily on the braking system, investigating any potential tricks or devices that could trigger asymmetric braking, which is strictly prohibited under the regulations.
