F1 partnerships: Puma loses Mercedes, but gains McLaren. Puma ends its partnership with Mercedes.

As revealed by SportBusiness, the Woking team has ended its partnership with Castore as its sportswear supplier

At the end of the month, McLaren is undergoing significant changes, both regarding the team’s projects and potential new partnerships with sportswear suppliers. While no official announcement has been made yet, as reported by SportBusiness, the Woking-based team has ended its contract with Castore and is set to sign a multi-year deal with Puma.

The German company could thus form a partnership with McLaren starting next season, making it the main sportswear supplier in Formula 1. McLaren would join the Puma “club,” which includes Ferrari, Aston Martin, Williams, and Sauber, soon to be Audi.

It’s worth noting that until last season, Puma was also the sportswear supplier for Mercedes, which has now begun a new German partnership with Adidas for this season, marking the brand’s first foray into Formula 1. Additionally, Adidas has teamed up with the Italian company OMP for the technical apparel of George Russell and Kimi Antonelli.
