The weeks ahead will not be easy for Daniel Ricciardo after his departure from Formula 1, which came after the Singapore Grand Prix weekend. The Australian, who found himself without a seat just six races before the end of the season, has chosen to relax by dedicating time to one of his great passions.
The former Red Bull driver has never hidden the fact that he is a big fan of the world of two wheels, especially motocross bikes. He mentioned this in a video posted on social media by his last team, Racing Bulls, where he was asked to choose between two options. “F1 single-seaters or motocross bikes?” he replied, “Without a doubt, motocross bikes.”
Time for “Relaxation” After the Departure
While the Circus is on a break before returning to the track in Austin, Daniel Ricciardo has decided to distract himself with some friends. He spent eight hours on motocross bikes on the roads of California, as witnessed on social media by Adam Cianciarulo, a former motocross rider and friend of the Australian driver.
Five friends and plenty of time on bikes to try to forget, at least for a while, the disappointment of how Daniel Ricciardo’s “second” F1 career has gone.
What will Daniel Ricciardo do in the future? There are no updates on this, although a return to Formula 1 currently seems quite unlikely. The only possibility might be a role as a third driver at Red Bull, but there have been no confirmations regarding that yet.
