Christian Horner’s next move in Formula 1: where could he go?. Christian Horner’s F1 future is uncertain after leaving Red Bull.

F1 | Christian Horner’s future remains uncertain: which team will he join next?

After leaving Red Bull, speculation is growing about whether Christian Horner will return to Formula 1. Rumors about a possible comeback in the paddock have become increasingly persistent. Horner has been linked to several F1 teams since his departure from Red Bull. During the Singapore Grand Prix weekend, statements from some team principals fueled talk of his imminent return. Ayao Komatsu, the HAAS team principal, caused a stir by admitting: “It’s true that he contacted us, and one of our people had, let’s say, an exploratory conversation.” According to Günther Steiner, however, the Haas option may not be so straightforward due to underlying issues.

Future at Haas?

Former HAAS team principal Günther Steiner, speaking on the latest episode of The Red Flags, suggested that a move to the American F1 team may not be viable for Horner. Steiner, who knows the environment from the inside, was very clear: “I mean, by now we all know from various articles how much Christian earned. I don’t think Haas is willing to pay that, and that’s the first point.” He added, “Ayao [Komatsu], if I’m not mistaken, said there was a conversation. So they must have talked, I suppose, otherwise he wouldn’t have mentioned it. But on the other hand, Christian comes from Red Bull, which probably has the biggest structure in Formula 1.”

For Steiner, the rumors are largely just speculation: “Obviously, Christian [Horner] wouldn’t go there just to participate in F1, and I think the rumors started precisely because he spoke with someone at Haas, as reported, and from there the speculation about his arrival began. But that’s how rumors start so quickly in Formula 1: you talk to someone, and suddenly it’s a story.”

Other teams linked to Horner include Alpine and Aston Martin, while Ferrari has been ruled out after renewing with Fred Vasseur over the summer. Where will the former Red Bull team principal go next?
