There are updates regarding the legal case involving Christian Horner and a former Red Bull employee. After more than a year and a half of investigations and legal proceedings, the case that involved Christian Horner, who was the Red Bull team principal at the time, and an employee of the Milton Keynes-based team has now reached a turning point.
Decision reached on the trial
Despite internal investigations having already cleared Horner due to a lack of concrete evidence, the other party had expressed their intention to pursue the matter in court. As a result, a trial had been scheduled to take place in January of the coming year.
However, according to reports from Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, the case has now reportedly been closed. Erik Van Haren reported this in an article published the day after the Singapore Grand Prix, which also discussed the possibility of Horner returning to the Formula 1 paddock.
The journalist explains that an agreement between the two parties led to the case being dropped. While financial terms are not confirmed, it is suggested that the settlement could involve sums in the millions of euros.
A chapter closes
This resolution closes a chapter that had inevitably strained the relationship between the former team principal and Red Bull. Christian Horner can now refocus on his future, which, given the many rumors circulating in recent weeks, could soon be linked once again to the world of Formula 1.
