Christian Horner praises McLaren
After two years of title dominance, Red Bull has been defeated. The Constructors’ Championship went to McLaren, the team that consistently set the technical benchmark. Red Bull, through team principal Christian Horner, paid tribute to the Woking-based team, which managed to climb from the bottom and dethrone the champions in just a year and a half.
Christian Horner acknowledged McLaren’s merits and looked ahead to 2025, a season he expects to be intensely competitive, with four teams fighting for supremacy and potential surprises from other competitors.
Christian Horner’s comments
“Congratulations to McLaren. We know how difficult it is to win a Constructors’ Championship and the amount of effort and dedication it requires. They were exceptional this year, with two drivers performing excellently. In the end, they deservedly won, even though we claimed more GPs and more Sprints.”
“If you consider the points since the summer break, Charles Leclerc is slightly ahead, which shows that next year will be very tight,” he continued. “There are at least four teams in contention to win Grands Prix, so I think the biggest winner in 2025 will be Formula 1 itself. Margins will be small, and of course, starting strong is always crucial, but in such a long season, consistency will be key.” – the Red Bull team principal concluded.
