F1 | Audi and Revolut reveal eye-watering deal set to shake up 2026 grid

The staggering partnership between Audi and Revolut is set to make waves in Formula 1 from 2026 and has fans buzzing across the sport. The deal highlights how the competition in F1 extends far beyond the track, with commercial battles becoming just as intense as racing itself.

The British digital banking group Revolut will become the title sponsor for Audi’s Formula 1 project, with the agreement estimated to be worth around $60 million per season. This positions the deal among the most significant sponsorship agreements in recent years within the F1 paddock.

According to reports, several F1 teams had approached Revolut before the final decision, but the partnership ultimately went to Audi. Initial talks began in March, with the contract signed just two months later—a remarkably fast turnaround by Formula 1 standards, reflecting a shared vision and clearly defined objectives from the outset.

Why the Audi-Revolut deal matters to every F1 fan

This agreement goes far beyond a simple exchange of visibility and financial resources. Both Audi and Revolut see the partnership as much more than just brand exposure or financial support.

Both companies identify as challengers, intent on shaking up traditional sectors. On one side is Audi, entering Formula 1 as an official constructor. On the other, Revolut, a digital bank that has grown by challenging the conventional financial system.

Jonathan Wheatley explained, “We hope to break the establishment. How will we do it? By learning from each other. Revolut will push us to improve, and we will do the same with them. We are following the same path.”

The core concept behind the deal is active collaboration. Audi and Revolut aim to leverage their challenger status to grow together. Key themes for both organizations include technology, rapid decision-making, and innovation, which will shape how they operate both on and off the track.

A strategic move in a global F1 ecosystem

In an era where Formula 1 is increasingly a global platform for business and communication, the Audi-Revolut partnership sends a clear message. The sport’s future will depend not only on performance on the track but also on strategic alliances that generate value across multiple layers. Previous partnerships have shown that fans, especially Revolut users, could also see tangible benefits from such collaborations.

From 2026, the Revolut name will feature prominently in Audi’s Formula 1 project, marking the beginning of an alliance that promises to make an impact both on the circuit and beyond.
