Silverstone’s team has accepted an Accepted Breach Agreement (ABA) following a procedural irregularity in the 2024 budget cap, but they did not exceed the spending limit and faced no sanctions.
The Formula 1 financial regulations administration confirmed that AMR GP Ltd (Aston Martin) was found responsible for a procedural violation of the financial rules related to the 2024 reference period, even though their overall expenditures remained below the budget cap limit.
According to an FIA statement, the body overseeing cost control offered Aston Martin an Accepted Breach Agreement to resolve the issue, which the team agreed to. The administration also acknowledged that the violation was caused by exceptional and unforeseen circumstances, and that the Silverstone team acted cooperatively and transparently throughout the entire review process.
For this reason, no financial penalties were imposed on Aston Martin, and there is no evidence or allegation that the team gained any undue advantage from the procedural non-compliance.
The agreement, formalized on September 29, 2025, under Article 6.28 of the Financial Regulations, closes the matter without any further sporting or financial consequences for the British squad.
